Kiss My Ace

The only mixed GLTA tournament in the UK, played on grass at The Northern Tennis Club, 'the Wimbledon of the North'

2021 Tournament Cancelled

We are sorry to announce that, due to the sustained increase of Delta Variant cases in Greater Manchester and the UK, and the continued uncertainty regarding travel restrictions and events, the tournament committee have made the sad decision to cancel this year's Kiss My Ace International Tournament.

We feel that to continue with the event poses too great a risk to all those involved, and we could not in good conscience promote the tournament to international participants.

This has not been an easy decision, but we feel it is the right one. Any participants who have already paid for their tournament entry will be reimbursed over the next two weeks. In some cases, where people have paid us directly, we may need to get in contact with you to provide us with payment details.

We look forward to inviting you to Kiss My Ace 2022 next year. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

On behalf of the Kiss My Ace Tournament Committee,

Gurjeet Singh-Raud
Tournament Director

The Venue

Located in five acres of grounds in a tranquil setting in the heart of Didsbury, The Northern is an award-winning club and a wonderful place to play tennis. This club has a 135 year history, hosting national and international events such as the Aegon Manchester Tournament.

Many great players have played here including Jimmy Connors, Billy Jean King, John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Sue Barker, Goran Ivanisovic, and Martina Hingis.

Pete Sampras won his first ever grass court tournament at The Northern, and more recent stars of the circuit such as Anna Ivanovic have used the club as a training base.

History of the tournament

Northern Aces Manchester GLTA tournament has been welcoming players from around the world since 2007. Originally played on the courts of our indoor venue at the Manchester Tennis & Football centre, it moved to The Northern Tennis Club in 2018.
