Northern Aces is 100% volunteer led, and our elected committee shares ultimate responsibility for the direction and governance of Northern Aces.

Want to Get Involved?
Our executive committee are elected every year at the AGM, however, if you would like to be involved in other ways we are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out.

Neil McArthur
Neil has been an avid tennis player and father to a spiritied child, who occasionally supports at sessions.

Neil joined Northern Aces after lockdown as a total beginner, and has enjoyed playing ever since, both socially and competitively.

Andy Aldridge
A member since 2021, Andy joined Northern Aces to get back into tennis after a long break. Responsible for branding, website design and social media, Andy is just as passionate off court as he is on court.

"Northern Aces has helped me get back into tennis after a near 10 year break, and I'm fitter and happier for it. My only regret is not joining sooner! I have made amazing friends and even met my partner at Northern Aces."

Welfare Officer
Aidan Fielding
Joining Northern Aces in 2022, Aidan is a regular feature at social tennis. Hoping to expand the Northern Aces offering, Aidan helps to organise regular social activities.

From 2024, Aidan has taken up the role of the Northern Aces Safeguarding and Welfare Officer, supporting all of our members to ensure that Northern Aces is a truly inclusive and safe space.

Neil dusted off his racket and joined the Northern Aces in 2023, rekindling his passion for the sport. His skills have improved through regular participation at weekly social tennis and now proudly competes in our B-team.
