Winter Doubles Tournament

Format

The format is as per previous years, with entrants ranked into ability groups by the Tournament Committee, and then you will be paired with a doubles partner with the intention of ensuring all pairs are of similar joint ability;  i.e. a higher ranked player will be partnered with a lower one, and middle-ranked players with another similarly ranked etc. So therefore every pair should have the same chance of winning. The actual pairings will be drawn randomly from the relevant groups, at the venue just before the tournament commences. The playing format will be finalised once numbers of entrants are known, but it is likely to consist of at least 3 x 1 hour round-robins, with a semi & final knock-out afterwards. At least 3 x 1-hour-long matches will be guaranteed for everyone.

Cost The entry cost is £20 for paid-up NA members, who will be given priority booking for one week from today’s date. After this initial one-week period, entry will be made available to non-members, for a fee of £25.

How to Enter

Numbers will be limited to 24 participants, so in order to reserve your place please can you confirm by replying to us at info@northernacestennis.com.  

Along with your payment. 

Deadline for payment is Friday 27th December to guarantee your entry.  

Closing date for entry is Friday 27th December, or before if full.  

Refunds

Withdrawals from the tournament made after 1st January will only receive a refund should a suitable replacement be found.
