session leaders

Without our amazing team of volunteer session leaders we wouldn't be able to do what we do.

About our session leaders

Our social tennis sessions are run by our motivated session leaders, who are always happy to help and provide encouragement on and off court.

We are always happy to hear from members who are considering becoming a Northern Aces session leader. Read on to find out more.

What does a session leader do?

A session leader is responsible for facilitating social tennis sessions, from set up to packing up, and ensuring the time on court runs as smoothly as possible.

This involves managing 'the board', which we use to allocate players to each court for each allotted rotation. For a leader, this means streamlining play based on ability and ensuring fairness for all players.

How can I identify a session leader?

Session leaders can be identified by their purple Northern Aces t-shirt. If you are new to Northern Aces, look out for the session leader when you arrive. They will welcome you to the session and do their best to make sure you get the most out of the session.

I am interested in becoming a session leader.

If you are interested in getting involved, speak to any of our session leaders at any social session, or alternatively send us an email: info@northernacestennis.com
